Motivation Mondays

Today for Motivation Mondays I would like to introduce you to one of the best sites for inspiration ever, Inspire Me Thursday! Each week, Inspire Me Thursday challenges you with a new theme, that you can then use in anyway you like to inspire you. Artisit's then comment on each Thursday's post with a link showing off what they came up with based on that weeks inspiration.

I've browsed the site for months and months now, and often find so many wonderful and motivating pieces of art. Recently I decided to join in the fun and create artwork based on the week's inspiration. A couple of weeks ago you may have seen my painting "Peac-a-dots". This was inspired by Inspire Me Thursdays' polk-a-dots theme.

When I saw this weeks inspiration, shrink, I knew I had to play! Ever since I found out you can still buy and make your own Shrinky Dinks, I've been dieing to find it in a store and start making stuff! I loved Shrinky Dinks when I was a kid. I had this HUGE Rainbow Bright set and I loved every minute of it!

So yesterday I went out to Micheals and found the Shrinky Dinks in the stamping section of all places, and came home and started playing! These are my first two, so a bit of a learning experience. I need to get some markers that are more appropriate for this craft, but watch for more to come soon in my Etsy shop!

I made this one for my boyfriend as my first test piece.
It's an autobot for his keychain.
And I made this sock-monkey inspired charm
for my point and shoot camera!
